Hines VA Fisher House Wish List

Some of the items on our wish list reflect one-time only needs but most represent the on-going needs of running the house. Every in-kind donation allows us to stretch our donated dollars that much further. 

We are only able to accept donations Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm. Donations cannot be accepted on evenings, weekends or Federal holidays. Because Hines Fisher House is a private home, we ask that individuals and groups please call ahead to (708) 202-7154 in order to arrange a time to drop off donations. Thank you.

ITEMS WE CAN ALWAYS USE:

For the pantry:
  • Grocery store gift cards such as Target and Jewel
  • Frozen entrees and snacks
  • Juices, yogurt, cheese sticks, packaged lunch meats
  • Fresh fruit such as oranges and bananas
  • Tuna fish lunch packs and microwaveable meals
  • K-cup coffee pods/coffee supplies


For the laundry:

  • Liquid detergent (Tide) for HE washers
  • Fabric softener sheets for the dryer

For the supply cupboard:
  • Liquid dish soap and dishwasher all-in-one
  • Paper towels, Kleenex and bath tissue
  • Pledge multi-purpose cleaner, Lysol spray, Endust
  • Stainless Steel Wipes, Leather wipes

For our guests:
  • Travel coffee mugs
  • Restaurant gift cards (i.e. Portillos, Panera Bread, Subway etc.)
  • Travel size umbrellas
  • Magazine subscriptions for the house
  • Stamps

SPECIAL REQUESTS:

For the house and garden:
  • Gas grill cover
  • Tupperware containers (large)
  • Oreck vacuum bags – type CC
  • New holiday decorations
  • Large storage bins/containers
  • Brita Water Pitcher filters

For the guest suites:
  • King size mattress pads
  • Travel size toothpaste
  • Bathroom size disposable cups

We do not accept clothing or used items. We are also well supplied with books, puzzles, games, toys and toiletries. Thank you.

**We are looking for a group to sponsor our patio garden this Spring/Summer 2012.
