During this holiday season, we at Friends of Fisher House Illinois reflect with gratitude on the year’s achievements and look forward to the opportunities ahead.

Our mission is simple yet vital: to provide free lodging for Veterans, active-duty service members, and their families when medical care requires them to be far from home.

To date, we have supported **over 16,500 families—more than 50,000 people—**and saved them more than $1.8 million in out-of-pocket costs. No one is ever turned away; when our House is full, we cover hotel stays so families can remain close.

This year, we proudly celebrated the July opening of the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, the 100th Fisher House in the nation. Along with the Hines House, it stands as a beacon of hope for those who have sacrificed for us.
