How You Can Help & Contribute
We are the completely volunteer non-profit whose mission is to sustain the 20-private-bedroom-suite Hines VA Fisher House and the future 16-private-bedroom-suite Lovell Fisher House in Illinois.
We raise funds, solicit grants and conduct events to fulfill our mission. Friends of Fisher House-Illinois ensures that there is never a lodging fee plus provides all food and beverages and quality of life outings for our military families who sacrifice so much for our freedom and safety.
Hines Fisher House with the support of FOFH-IL provided 13,000 families (26,000 individuals) with free lodging with meals since 2010, saving Veterans and their families $1.5million in out-of-pocket costs.

Some of the items on our wish list reflect one-time only needs but most represent the on-going needs of running the house. Every in-kind donation allows us to stretch our donated dollars that much further.
We prefer to accept donations Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm, but will try to be accommodating. Because Hines Fisher House is a private home, we ask that individuals and groups please call ahead to (708) 202-7154 in order to arrange a time to drop off donations. Thank you.
