Lovell Fisher House One-Year Anniversary
Celebrating one year of providing comfort, care, and a “home away from home” for veterans and military families receiving medical treatment at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. This special anniversary honors the dedicated staff, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who make the Fisher House mission possible.
Honoring Years of Dedicated Service
Hines held its annual Volunteer Luncheon at the Fisher House on Friday, September 24, celebrating the wonderful volunteers who give so generously of their time in support of our veterans and their families.
Veterans Jim Stein, Tom Davis, and Lorie Davis were honored with plaques recognizing their many years of dedicated volunteer service. Although Lorie was unable to attend the luncheon, her commitment and contributions were proudly recognized.
The plaques were presented by Jim Stein, himself a longtime volunteer whose continued service reflects the heart of the Fisher House community.
To Jim, Tom, and Lorie—thank you for your years of dedicated service, your generosity, and your unwavering commitment to our veterans and their families.
Your service truly makes a difference, and we are grateful for all you do. 🇺🇸

The Friends of Waukegan Emblem Club #88 stopped by The Captain James Lovell FHCC Fisher House for a tour and presented a check to Diane Kelley, President of FOFHIL, and Kimberly Skorups, General Manager of Fisher House Lovell

VFW Post 2245
We are grateful to the Ron Hill Memorial VFW Post 2245 for their generous $500 donation to support the Friends of Fisher House.
During their visit, members received a tour of the Fisher House and had the opportunity to see firsthand the impact their support has on military families.
